El recorrido comienza frente a la iglesia de Altzo Azpi; pero, aquellos que prefieran acortar algo el recorrido, pueden iniciarolo desde la plaza de Altzo Muño. El camino pasa por encima de la cantera hasta el término de Zitzaola. Vuelve sobre el cresterio que se inicia en Laparmendi (812 m.), termina en el pico Otsabio y desciende hasta el casco urbano de Altzo.
