GR 285 E02 | ELGOIBAR-BEHOBIA

← Back to the list of routes
Hernio Gazume Zelatun ernio

This great mountain route (GR) is the longest and hardest of those that make up the network of trails in Gipuzkoa. It links Elgoibar with Hondarribia over a distance equivalent to three marathons. It crosses the five most important rivers (Deba, Urola, Oria, Leitzaran and Bidasoa) and several mountain ranges (Karakate-Irukutzeta, ZEC Izarraitz, ZEC Ernio-Gazume, Adarra, Aiako Harria) through the interior of the territory of Gipuzkoa. These characteristics explain the choice of the name: Mendi (mountain) and Ibai (river).
