During the autumn and winter months, most of the bars (ostatus) in the rural villages serve typical lunches: hot broth, meat and boiled chorizo or txistorra. Some also offer black pudding and mondeju. All accompanied by a bottle of cider – an ideal lunch after a hike in the mountains!
