The short humorous novel published by Joxean Sagastizabal in 1994 has subsequently served as the basis for several plays, a film, a television series, and a musical of the same name.

Route

“Kutsidazu bide Ixabel” is a novel based on the experiences of the writer, Joxean Sagastizabal. The protagonist is a young man from San Sebastián who stayed in a farmhouse in Hernialde to learn Basque. The proposed route is the one he took daily from Hernialde to the Basque school in Alkiza. Some passages of the film were also filmed on this rural road.
