The different Astotrek plans:

-Walk to the edge of mountain shepherds hut with donkeys: Mountain grazing and internalization of pastoral culture. The town of Berastegi will be crossed on the side of the mountain, with specific stops to listen to the explanations and ending at a mountain hut. There, the operation of a hut will be known and a cheese tasting will be held. Two types of cheese from Gazpio will be tasted: natural and smoked. Throughout the way there will be help from donkeys. Donkeys can be driven by the rope, creating a relationship with them, and in the case of children, for a while, they can also go on top. Starting from the Berastegi square, there will be 6 stops along the way. There will be moments to give explanations, of less than 5 minutes. In addition to resting, there will be time to learn about the pastoral culture.

-Visit to the cheese factory through the meadows with donkeys: The tour consists of two parts. On the one hand, you will pass through the center of the Berastegi meadows with your donkeys. On the other hand, the herd and the Gazpio cheese factory will be known, ending with the tasting of its cheeses: natural, smoked and curd. In addition to understanding the landscape and approaching the world of shepherds, the current reality of a shepherd will be known. Then, will meet in the Berastegi square and tour the town. You will have three stops for brief explanations.

-Pastoral culture: mountain huts and cheese dairy with donkeys: Excursion to the mountain shepherd’s hut, a half-day experience that combines through the meadows and with donkey visits to the cheese factory. It is a complete experience, ideal to understand the pastoral culture as a whole. It will start from the Berastegi square and along the way there will be stops to learn more about the pastoral culture. There will be an opportunity to learn from the inside how a mountain hut works, as well as that of the Gazpio herd and the cheese factory. The cheese tasting, in this tour, will be as follows: At the edge of the mountain, 2 pieces of cheese with water will be tasted. On the other hand, in Artegia three types of cheese from Pastor Gazpio will be tasted: natural, smoked and cottage cheese.
