“OTS” Haatik Dantza Konpainia

This dance work, to be presented in March 2025, is conceived as an impulse to reinterpret the avant-garde cultural movement reflected in “Herri Gogoa,” the first record label in the Basque Country. Although this label was never officially recognized due to censorship, it succeeded in publishing over two hundred records with the aim of revitalizing and renewing Basque culture.

“OTS” is more than just a work of contemporary dance. The choreography by Jone San Martin, an internationally renowned dancer and creator from San Sebastián, aims to evoke memories, surprise, and bring to mind the need that this movement once had to promote collective consciousness and bring art closer to the people.
