Kalakan concert in the Hernialde church at 6:00 p.m.
From the first melody the atmosphere is given. The light, the moderate decoration… all the attention is paid to the trio and especially to their music. In a simple staging, Kalakan brings together listeners and musicians around the sensations that music brings.
Proud of the past and full of respect, totally directed towards the future, they seek to write in the present the modernity of their ancient culture.
They offer songs from the 15th century to the present day, giving way to their compositions.
To establish all of this in “vibration”, “emotion” and “energy”, they use their voices and percussion, along with various traditional instruments that for centuries have been “contemporary” and with esoteric names: txalaparta, txirula, nozzle, tambourine, xilintx… decorated with powerful modern electronic sounds.
