Baliarrain is a very charming rural village. There are around 30 beautiful houses and traditional farmhouses, with very interesting buildings. Surrounded by mountains, it’s a very privileged location.

Ibiurreservoir

With 6.5 cubic hectometre capacity, Ibiur supplies water to about 56,000 people in 12 towns. From the dam there’s a magnificent view of Txindoki mountain, reflected on the water on sunny days. There’s a nice walking path around the reservoir.

Atinyfrontoncourt

In front of the church there’s the former priest’s house, with detailed construction work. The portico has a tiny and charming fronton court. Next to it there’s a large, indoors fronton court.

Following the road you get to the top of a beautiful picnic area, San Juan Iturri. The view from here, with Baliarrain below and Txindoki and Balerdi mountains, is breathtaking.
